Half of senior year has already went by and i'm extremely excited for this year to finally be over. I know that life after Lindsay High won't be easy, but I can’t wait to see what it has to offer me. I’m doing my job shadow next week and i’m excited to see how it’s going to go. As for my classes, i’m doing better staying on pace.
Before the semester is over I intend on finishing math and keeping on pace with my other classes so I don’t have to repeat any classes next semester. Math is the hardest subject for me, but with the extra help from my teacher I’m confident I will finish before the semester is over. It’s exciting to know that I won’t have to take math until college, I will be stress free for one semester. The rest of my classes are fairly easy, I’ve just let myself fall behind a bit but I’ve already caught up on three topics in government and I only need one more to go and I’m done for the semester.
I’m looking forward to the holidays to be able to relax and sleep in. Waking up for school everyday is hard for me because I stay up every night trying to get homework done, but I often regret some things I do during the day when I could’ve used that time to work on homework. I love to spend time with my family, since I will be moving out this year they’re trying to spend all the time they can with me right now. Due to school and extracurricular activities I only briefly see my family during the week, and on the weekends I try to keep a social life with friends. I’ve found balancing a social life with school is very hard to do.
I’ve looked into going to Porterville College and College of the Sequoias so far. I plan to find a job and start saving money so that I could move out of my mom’s house and find an apartment to live on my own. My dad also offered to let me live in his house and help him pay bills. My 18th birthday is coming up on January 31st, when I turn 18 it’ll be easier for me to get a job so i’m just waiting for my birthday to come so I could start looking for one. Once I move out I know that it won't be easy, but I just want to get my life together already. I’m really looking forward to ending high school and starting a new life away from here.
I'm excited to see what my future has to offer me, and I am ready to start a new life. It still astonishes me when I think about how fast high school went by. I still have a few more things to complete then i’ll be done with high school. I’m aiming for good things next semester, I can't wait to be done with everything.
