HOW dinners (helping one woman) is a local event where people go to help raise money for women who are going through medical emergency needs. It's held once a month and I go to help them with serving food, cleaning, and anything else they need.
In French Club I learned how to not care about what people think when I messed up on French words because it happened to everyone. I think it taught everyone in there how to be more self confident. It also made us closer because Doumbia would joke around with us all the time and he made it more welcoming and fun. Being in this club was a great experience.
Key Club was a club that I was a part of my sophomore and senior years. I was able to learn the many different ways to do community service. This club in particular was very positive. The members of the club were all kind, and everyone got along. I really enjoyed this club because I got to meet new people and help the community.
Leadership: I joined ASB my junior year and helped promote school spirit. This year I am the city council representative and go to the city council meetings to report what is happening at the school and report back to ASB when they have anything to say.
Fashion Club was a great experience, especially due to the fact that it was based on something that I knew about and was familiar with. I joined my freshman year and that was the only year the club had been there, which is sad because I really enjoyed it.
Being involved with the yearbook for 2 years was a great experience because not only did I get to see how it's done, I was able to be apart of the team who created it. This year I got the opportunity to be a yearbook editor and had to check everybody's pages and fix whatever needed to be changed. I'm really glad I am a part of the yearbook staff, I learned a lot about taking pictures and being a part of a team was really fun.
Cheering was one of the best things I ever got to experience while being here at Lindsay. I tried out my first year cheering as a freshmen; not thinking I would make the team and I did. Cheering taught me to work with all types of people no matter if there was issues between the two or if you do not like their working style. I grew some of the greatest friendships while cheering that I will always cherish.
